Ground & Sky brings together the work of Richard Cook with a carefully selected group of invited painters, sculptors and ceramic artists whose practices share a deep engagement with landscape, observation and the expressive possibilities of their chosen materials.
At the heart of the exhibition is Richard Cook, one of Britain’s most respected contemporary painters. His richly textured paintings emerge from memory and experience rather than direct representation, inviting viewers to look beyond the landscape and into the physical language of paint.
Around Cook’s work, nineteen invited artists present a diverse range of responses to place, light and form. While each voice is distinct, together they create a thoughtful dialogue across painting, sculpture and ceramics, exploring the enduring relationship between the natural world and artistic expression.
Ground & Sky offers an opportunity to experience new work by Richard Cook alongside an exceptional group of contemporary artists from across the UK.
