Michelle Maddox was born in Cambridge, England in 1968.
She has a Master of Art in Fine Art (Distinction) from UCA England, a BA in the History of Art from Birkbeck, University of London, and has also completed the postgraduate drawing development year at the Royal Drawing School, London. She also has a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Artistic Development from the University of the Arts in Zurich (ZHdK), Switzerland.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally, and recent exhibitions include the New English Art Club, the Royal Society of British Artists, Hampstead Art Society, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Wells Art Contemporary, Helmhaus Zurich, Kunsthaus Zofingen, and The Gallery at Green and Stone. She recently had a successful solo exhibition at the Kunstraum Melanie and Albert Ruegg Foundation, Zurich. Her work is in private collections in Switzerland, England, France, Luxembourg, Holland, Sweden, Australia, the Cayman Islands, and Canada as well as in the Royal Collection at Dumfries House.
