The Fourth Wall
Tregony Contemporary is thrilled to present The Fourth Wall, a new exhibition that invites viewers to move beyond passive observation and step into worlds both real and imagined.
Featuring the works of Alex Cree and Simon Wright, the exhibition explores the intersection of reality and invention, encouraging the audience to engage with each piece on a deeper level.
Cree’s work spans a broad range of subjects, from still life to landscapes, often blending reality, memory, and imagination. His masterful use of colour and form transforms everyday scenes into complex compositions that invite us to question how we perceive and interact with the visual world.
Wright, by contrast, draws inspiration from the mundane—creating intricate paintings based on cardboard models and other everyday objects. His ability to transform the ordinary into something deeply personal challenges our understanding of art and life, urging us to take a closer look at the familiar.
Both artists share a commitment to exploring colour, space, and composition in new and unexpected ways. The Fourth Wall blurs the boundaries between viewer and artwork, pulling us into each painter’s world.
We will be uploading images of all the paintings framed very soon.
